Battle of the Books
The Battle of the Books is a dynamic program designed to ignite a passion for reading and enhance literacy skills among young students. By engaging in friendly competition, the program encourages students to explore various genres and authors, fostering a lifelong love of literature.
- When: Meetings will be held on Tuesday mornings at 7:45 a.m. starting on Tuesday, October 7th.
- Where: Montclair Elementary Library
Battle of the Books Interest and Permission
Semi Finals will be held at Ashland Elementary on March 24th, 2026, at 6pm.
Chorus
For fourth and fifth graders. Beginning October 7th, in the music room from dismissal until 4 PM. Every Tuesday we’re in school unless otherwise specified through mid March. Calendar of rehearsals as well as concerts and other events to be given to chorus students on the first day of chorus.
Game of 24
Mathematics is the science and language of patterns. Students will look for patterns to make 24 using all mathematical operations appropriate to each grade level. The program has evolved as an effective means of reaching a broad spectrum of students within a community with the message that "Math is Fun. I can learn math."
We meet on Friday mornings at 7:45 am.
Monty Steppers
Established in the fall of 2024, the Montclair Monty Steppers are a vibrant, diverse, and dynamic group of third, fourth, and fifth-grade students who are passionate about the art of stepping. Our performances are a thrilling fusion of African American cultural elements, combined with various music and dance traditions from around the world. What makes us truly unique is that every step is crafted and led by our talented team members, showcasing their individual flair and innovation. Each member brings their unique talents and boundless enthusiasm, making our team a vibrant unit.
Robotics
In our elementary Robotics Club, students build their own LEGO robots, program movements using block coding, and tackle exciting missions that spark creativity and problem solving. We celebrate inclusion, teamwork, and fun as these future innovators dream big, engineer boldly, and bring their bots to life!
