Montclair has been awarded the title of "School of Excellence" -our 13th year. Forty-seven have earned the title, “School of Excellence,” up from 34 last year. Those honored include 33 elementary, three combined (K-8, traditional), five middle, and six high schools. This is the highest recognition awarded to a school by the Prince William County School Board. Selection is based on each school’s performance data for the 2015-16 school year, both overall and within student groups.
A School of Excellence must be fully accredited by the state, demonstrate improvement in closing achievement gaps, and achieve an overall score of 90 out of 100 points on PWCS Strategic Plan-based measures.
